Irish Tattoo Party!

This weekend it was my friend Moira’s birthday! Happy 25th, girl! What an incredible weekend! The house party to end all house parties, but before that it was an Irish Tattoo party!

We stopped at Bud’s tat shop downtown so I could get Moira her birthday present. If you hadn’t guessed from her name, she is an Irish girl. She moved here for college from a town called Killarney and just ended up staying here. I hope she never leaves because she’s so much freaking fun!

So I told her, get whatever you want, it was on me. She was looking at the tribal designs more than anything else, but really didn’t find anything that tickled her fancy. I guess she assumed she’d find a design there that would really jump out at her, but nothing really did.

This happens a lot, like when you’re in the tattoo shop it’s so hard to decide. So we borrowed Bud’s PC and he had a membership to some website where you could see all kinds of tattoo designs. You would not believe the number of tattoos on this website, I was about to get down on the chair and get a new one myself. The designs on this site were just awesome.

So she found an really cool Irish flag tattoo and went for that. She got it done on her right shoulder blade area and I was so proud of her, she barely squirmed even though this is her very first tat. Normally I’m not into flag designs, but trust me this thing is sick. I’ll have to post a picture.

I’m going to have to call Bud and ask him the name of that website. It might have been a special members only thing or something. Whatever you like, this site has them all and the designs are just awesome.  I sometimes  just browse google images, but that’s nothing. This is something else completely and I could just look through it all day long.

After that we headed out to Moira’s place on 5th. Man, her place is awesome. I don’t know how she found it. It’s totally affordable and a really decent size for being a studio. I love hanging out there, it’s so cozy. While she got ready I chilled out and watched some TV.

We headed out of town to my friend Dan’s place for her birthday party. She had a blast, I don’t think she expected nearly so many people to show. We got her a cake and everything, and Dan we had some pretty nice grub from the Mexican place down at Dan’s, El Taco or something like that.

She showed off her new Irish tattoo to everybody, all of us suitably impressed even though it was still pretty irritated and bleeding a bit.  I hope every time she looks at it in the mirror she remembers what an awesome 25th birthday party she had!
